We are sending a team of 7 individuals from January 27-February 2. This team consists of three medical professionals, and four key personnel.
The three RN's are Suzie Smith (experienced trauma flight nurse), Shari Pfeiffer (experienced in earthquake and disaster response), Peggy O’Neil (experienced FEI team member and pharmacy technician). The RN's will be bringing their expertise along with medicines and medical supplies.
The staff members include Joe Anfuso, FEI Founder and President; Bob Craddock, Program Director--Mission Teams; Tom Hogan, Field Staff; RJ Smith, experienced team member.
Staff will be focusing on identifying key Haitian partners for the rebuilding efforts and firming up the logistics for future teams (lodging, transportation, projects, etc.).
The team's plans are fluid as dictated by the disaster.
FEI's experience and expertise with disaster recovery lies in mobilizing volunteers to help the victims of disasters get back into their homes, rebuild their churches and community centers, and rebuild children’s homes.
We plan to continue sending medical teams and supplies as well, as the need persists.
Due to lack of infrastructure in Haiti (pre and post earthquake) our plans must remain flexible and dynamic. We will continue to update this blog as more information becomes available.
